New Wordpress plugin from Sugarrae

by admin on October 2, 2008

If you don’t follow Sugarrae’s blog, you should. Anyway, she’s just released another free wordpress plugin.

The plugin seems directed at building communities around your blog. Like this one - I should be concerned that you, gentle reader :), keep coming back to read my ramblings. And I should take steps to both make this site look professional and provide additional features that distinguish my blog for you. Both of Sugarrae’s recently released free wordpress plugins are centered around these concepts - building communites at your blog.

More specifically, this plugin lets community members showcase their profile in a more advanced fashion - including linking to their profile on some of the more common social media sites like Digg and Twitter.

My personal business blogs target a market that will not come back repeatedly, so I don’t look to build communities (for example, do you follow mortgage rate blogs all the time? Or just when you’re looking to renew your mortgage? I don’t do mortgage rate blogs, but the concept is the same). Instead I use the large volume of posts as a way to rank on long tail search traffic - and it works well. However! this SEOBash blog is different and intended to have folks coming back. So as time permits, I will install both of her new plugins here.

Oh yea, the link? Here it is: Sugarrae’s free wordpress plugin for social profiles and building communities. Or is that too keyword rich? :)
