When the event just isn’t enough….

by admin on April 2, 2007

We’re meeting at linuxcaffe.com at 5:00 this Saturday, April 7, 2007. We’re going to have two presentations - and I expect to start on time so be there on time! You’ll be able to buy a meal for yourself at the cafe as well as what seems to be a good selection of coffees. After the presentations we’ll mingle a little bit at the cafe, likely til 8 or 9.

At that point it’s been suggested we move to a local pub for a brew or pop. I’m game for that, so let’s add that to the agenda. I’ll announce the time we’ll be moving towards the end of the event. We’re not going to rush right to the pub as there’s some attendees who won’t be following us and I want everyone to have a good time networking. But the pub will allow us to mingle some more and perhaps stay out a bit past our bedtime.

You may want to post the date instead of “this Saturday”.

Thanks Bob. I’ve made that change.

And was that am or pm on the time : )

I am going to try to make it. I am from the London area, am the owner of seocompany.ca and we have 6 full time employees. I would be interested in making some connections with Toronto SEO types. Also I am not a bar person so I trust there will be lots of time for discuss after the presentations.

Look forward to seeing you there Bob.

We’ll make sure there’s lots of time at the cafe after the presentations. I’ve got calls for a number of people that won’t attend a pub venue, and calls from people who feel a pub venue is better for networking. I don’t want to alienate either group, so my intentions are to hang at the cafe for a good long while, then move to the pub later.

Great. I would get them to post this over at #SEO at EFnet if I was you — I would but I am banned. I would think they would /topic it for you also. Also there is a new #SEO channel on irc.seonetwork.org. Doesn’t look like there is much action there but you never know.

You also might want to post it on a few of the top SEO forums.

You might even want to email some of the main seo blog sites and see if they will put a notice up for you.
